If you’re selling anything via Paypal, you must collect your buyer’s emails into a unique buyer’s list. This buyer’s list, if treated right, can continue to bring in revenue far into the future. I’m still receiving several thousands per month from a buyer’s list I created in 2009. However, you do not need expensive, 3rd party software such as DLGuard or Nanacast to automatically add buyers to the 3 major autoresponders on the market.
If you’re a customer of GetResponse (I use them), Aweber or MailChimp, then you’re in luck. This is a free feature offered by GetResponse, Aweber and MailChimp (MailChimp is not recommended for affiliate marketing).
Here are the instructions to integrate Paypal with your Email Autoresponder:
- Click Here for GetResponse Paypal Integration
- Click Here for Aweber Paypal Integration
- Click Here for MailChimp Paypal Integration
Since these are paying customers, the CAN-SPAM Act allows you to email transactional information to them without their express permission.
Unfortunately, as of this writing, iContact, ImnicaMail, Vertical Response, StreamSend and Constant Contact do not offer this feature.
